Katterikuppam, Initially

I was supposed to be in microbiology lab inoculating the samples. But when I was about to get throat swab in ward 28(Paediatric Surgery ward), Dr. Jagdish aka jaggu ‘nix’ed it sayin he cannot allow me till I get a formal permission from him to use patients under his care. I had official permission obtained from Dept of Paediatrics but not from Dept of Paediatric Surgery and that ended my hopes of reachin my self stipulated target of 5 swabs a day. Dejected though, it provided me some free time.
Yesterday I’d been to Govinda uncle’s house in Indira Gandhi nagar. He has been my local guardian since I landed Pondicherry. All I have to do when in trouble is to call him.( And almost always ‘trouble’ refers to Economic ones). This was another instance of such.
We were talking about things here & things back home, people and politics, sea and Sagarmatha and all things that came on the way. Suddenly changin the topic we’re talkin, he asked me if I were free to go somewhere the next day. My afternoon classes wer long over (a week before), but I’d laboratory works to do. So I couldn’t say Yup.
But I did it afterwards.
